Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
Selected photos are processed in your browser, without sending image data to a server or external AI. Normal requests load this site and the sample photo. No analytics tools are included. Language preference is stored locally if available. Optional sponsored links open an external site only when clicked.
Does it remove only location data?
We remove GPS, capture dates, device models, comments and other metadata. Orientation and color settings needed for display are kept. We don't parse custom text inside color profiles or remove new file creation dates assigned by your device. Visible clues can be covered manually. HEIC converts to JPEG or PNG, saving only the primary image; color, quality and HDR appearance may change.
Will quality or orientation change?
The recommended mode for JPEG, PNG and WebP preserves image data without recompression and keeps orientation and color settings. Cover edits export a full-resolution PNG, which may be larger. PNG conversion also avoids lossy compression, but browser color management can slightly change appearance. HEIC converts to JPEG or PNG, saving only the primary image; color, quality and HDR appearance may change.
Does it support HEIC and HEIF?
HEIC and HEIF convert locally to JPEG (recommended) or PNG. Only the primary still image is saved; HEIC output, multiple images, Live Photo video and HDR preservation aren't supported. Quality or color may change. JPEG, PNG and WebP also work. Limits: 30 MB / 50 megapixels per photo, 100 MB total, 20 photos.
Can I clean photos with no GPS tag detected?
Yes. We check supported EXIF and XMP GPS tags, but may not detect every way location can be stored. Even without a detected GPS tag, we remove capture dates, comments and other metadata. Output is checked for remaining GPS and removable metadata; orientation and color settings are kept.
Are visible clues hidden automatically?
No. Open “Check & cover clues” and drag over names, addresses, signs or reflections. An opaque cover hides the selected area, rather than blur. Image content outside your selected areas is not redrawn by AI. Editing animations isn't supported.
Is it free? Do I need a large download?
No account or image-processing charge. Only HEIC input loads an extra converter of about 2 MB from this site. Photos aren't uploaded. No AI model or app installation is needed. Your usual internet charges may apply.
